Layering Experiment nearing completion!

You will recall my layering experiment from a previous blog... I was working on a dry and wet media grisaille underpainting...

Using a combination of OPEN and Fluid acrylics, I filled in areas of color.  I love the way the color came out on top of the textures I was experimenting with.  The cheesecloth adds a nice underlying texture, and my brush application of Acrylic Ground for Pastels provides some fun striations in the surface.

She still needs a few touch ups but for the most part is done!

Thank you for following along as I worked my way through a new layering experiment, it's been a fun process!
